Japan Flora: Smaller; leaves pale green and loosely short-pilose on the more prominendy raised veinlets beneath, the terminal leaflets 5-10 cm. long, 1.5-3 cm. wide, the lateral as long as the terminal, scarcely or much dilated on outer mar­gin at base.

Kyushu (Osumi Prov. and southw.). Ryukyus, Formosa, and China.
