Korea Flora: Plant: Evergreen perennial. Rhizome: Small, with tufted leaves. Stipe: 1-10 cm long; light green, longer ones with purplish-brown lower portion; mostly glabrous except for few blackish-brown scales. Frond (Fertile): Shape: Linear to linear-lanceolate, Base: Acute to cuneate, Apex: Acute, attenuate, with proliferous bud at tip, Size: 5-15 cm × 5-10 mm, Surface: Green, non-lustrous, Margin: Entire or irregularly undulate Frond (Sterile): Similar in appearance but generally elliptical, Both ends rounded or obtuse 7-10 mm long, Short-stalked, Sori: Linear to elongated-elliptical; arranged on veins; opposite pairs along central axis, Indusium: Opening towards anterior. Note: Distinguished by proliferous buds at frond tips and dimorphic fronds. Habitat: On rocks or tree trunks of old trees.
