Japan Flora: Acaulescent, with spreading, long white pubescence on the petioles and peduncles; stipules 1-nerved, lanceolate, acuminate to very acute, pubescent on the outside, the leaflets 11-17, oblong, 8-12 mm. long, 2-4 mm. wide, acute to subobtuse, densely pubescent on upper side, glabresccnt beneath; racemes about 5-flowered, the bracts linear; flowers bluish purple; calyx with white and blackish hairs, the teeth lanceolate or linear-lanceolate, about 3 mm. long, the tube about 12 mm. long; ovary subsessile, appressed white-pubescent.  July.

Hokkaido (Hidaka mountain range); rare.
