Japan Flora: Resembling V. unijuga, but the bracts narrowly ovate to lanceolate, acuminate, some­times toothed, 3-8 mm. long; leaves thinner, the leaflets acuminate. June-Aug. Mountains.

Honshu (centr. distr.); rather rare. Korea.
