Japan Flora: Rhi­zomes creeping; stems twining; leaves long-petiolate, subhas- tate, deltoid-ovate to deltoid, 4-8 cm. long, 3-7 cm. wide, with an obtusely angled lateral lobe on each side near base, acute to abruptly acuminate, mucronate, cordate; flowers solitary, long- pedunculate, the bracts ovate, shallowly cordate, 2-3 cm. long; corolla rose-colored. 

Hokkaido, Honshu. Temperate re­gions of the N. Hemisphere.
