Japan Flora: Glaucous, glabrous, flaccid perennial; stems erect, 40-80 cm. long, branched above; leaves deltoid, the petioles 5- 10 cm. long, the leaflets obovate or elliptic, 1-2.5 cm. long, 7-20 mm. wide, rounded to emarginate, cuneate, acute or obtuse at base, pellucid-dotted, entire, white beneath; panicles terminal, large, the bracts narrowly obovate, 4-6 mm. long, simple; flowers white, on delicate pedicels; sepals oblong, about 1 mm. long; petals ascending-spreading, oblong, about 4 mm. long; stamens exserted; fruit on a stipe about 2 mm. long, the fruit­lets ovoid, ascending, about 3 mm. long, the seeds dark brown, reniform, about 1.5 mm. long, tuberded. Aug.-Oct. Woods in mountains.

Honshu (Kanto Distr. and westw.), Shikoku, Kyushu; common.
