Japan Flora: Stems 4-8 cm. long from a long-creeping base; leaves ovate to narrowly so, 2-4 cm. long, 1-2.2 cm. wide, acute to obtuse, usually rounded at the base, white-reticulate on upper side, the petioles 1-2 cm. long, short-sheathing at base; inflorescence 1- to 3- flowered, loosely long crisped-pubescent, the bracts broadly linear, subercct, 1.5-2 cm. long, long-acuminate, slightly pubescent; flowers long-tubular; sepals broadly linear, 2.5-3 cm. long, obtuse, loosely pubescent without; petals linear, narrowed toward the base; lip 17-20 mm. long, saccate at base, sparsely pubescent within, the limb elongate, lanceolate, subacute, with a recurved tip; column about 1/3 as long as the sepals; capsules 15-18 mm. long. July-Aag. Woods;

Honshu (centr. distr. and westw.), Shikoku, Kyushu; rare. Korea (Wangtao).
