Japan Flora: Minute leafless, green, epiphytic herb with fasciculate roots, 2-3 cm. long, 1-1.2 mm. in diameter; stems nearly wanting; leaves absent; peduncles few, tufted, slender, 4-7 mm. long, 1- to 3-flowered, the bracts deltoid, acute,about 1 mm. long; flowers minute; sepals pale green, not expanded, lanceolate, about 2 mm. long, adnate to the base of the petals, gradually acuminate; petals slightly shorter than the sepds,broadly lanceolate; lip lanceolate, the margin involute, gradually acuminate toward the inflexed apex; spur saccate; column very short, adnate to the base of the lip; capsules oblong-ovoid, 4-5 mm. long, ascend- ing, nearly sessile. Tree-trunks;

Honshu (Kanto Distr. and westw.), Shikoku, Kyushu; very rare.
