Japan Flora: Rhizomes long-creeping, firm, 3-4 mm. across, black-brown, scaly; stipes 30-40 cm. long, pale green to pale brown, thinly scaly and dark brown toward base; scales firmly membranous, the upper ones brown, the basal nearly black, linear, 3-4 mm. long, ab이it 0.5 mm. wide, sparsely spine-toothed toward tip; blades narrowly ovate to broadly lanceolate, 2(M0 cm. long, 8-20(-30) cm. wide, long-acuminate, not contracted at base; pinnae 10-13 pairs, horizontally spreading, equilateral except sometimes the lowest one, lanceolate, 4-10(-15) cm. long, 1-3(-3.5) cm. wide, short- petiolulate, pinna til obed, the upper pinnae smaller and decurrent on the rachis; sori linear, 3-7 mm. long, slightly arcuate, median, or those on the lowest veinlets often diplazioid and longer.
