Japan Flora: Aromatic dwarf prostrate shrub with ascending, more or less white-pilose branchlets; leaves narrowly to broadly ovate, 5-10 mm. long, 3-8 mm. wide, obtuse, entire, glandular-dotted on both surfaces, long whitecilia te at base, the lateral nerves arcuate, 2 or 3 pairs, rather abruptly short-petiolate; flowers in a short terminal spike; mountains, or sometimes near the sea.
Hokkaido, Honshu, Kyushu. Korea, n. China, Manchuria, Mongolia, and Siberia.
