Japan Flora: Epiphytic; stems to 7 cm. long, creeping; leaves small, equal, spreading, very dense, elliptic to ovate-elliptic, 5-11 mm. long, 2.5-5 mm. wide, acute to acuminate, retuse, 3-nerved, green with purple spots, grooved above; flowers few, in short racemes on very short peduncles; sepals elliptic, 2.5-2.7 mm. long, yellowish green with a purple center, petals similar; lip 3-lobed, cylin- dric-spurred, the dorsal lobe larger, transversely oblong with rounded margins, about 1.5 mm. long, 3 mm. wide, retuse to truncate at apex, the lateral lobes minute, erect, on the mouth of the spur, the column short; capsules oblong, about 9 mm. long, pedicelled. Oct.

Honshu (Kii, s. Shinano and Iwaki), Shikoku; very rare.
