Russia Flora: Plant up to 20 cm high. Rhizome thin. Stem with 1-2 brownish-whitish sheaths and 1 leaf at the base. Leaf up to 10 cm long and 6 cm wide, obovate or rounded-elliptic, with a sharply narrowed base. Bracts up to 3 cm long and 1.5 cm wide, green, elliptic or lanceolate. Flowers 1-2 (3) in number, light pink. Outer perianth lobes 9 mm long and 3.5 mm wide, lanceolate, obtuse, with 3 veins. Two inner perianth lobes narrower and shorter, with a single vein. Lip up to 11 mm long and 7 mm wide, longer than the other perianth lobes, round or elongated-round, coarsely crenate along the margin, sometimes obscurely three-lobed, narrowed towards the base, with dark reddish-pink spots . Spur up to 1 cm long, downward or horizontally directed. Capsule up to 1.5 cm long and 0.9 cm wide.

Bureya, Ussuri. - Dark and light coniferous green moss forests with sufficient moisture; in mountains up to 1200 m above sea level. VI-VIII. Rare. - General distr.: Japan-China (Korean Peninsula, Japan). - Described from Japan.
