Russia Flora: Plants up to 50 cm tall. Pseudobulb up to 3 cm long, ovoid. Stem erect, with several sheaths. Leaf 1(2), up to 4.5 cm long and 5 cm wide, from elliptical to narrowly oblong, long-pointed, blade with narrowly cuneate base, often with white or pale yellow spots, with 3 main veins. Inflorescence up to 20 cm long, dense. Bracts 7-10 mm long, thinly membranous, linear-lanceolate, pointed. Flowers 10-20, pendulous, from pink-purple to pink, with brownish tinge. Perianth segments up to 3.5 cm long and 5 mm wide, linear-oblanceolate, pointed. Lip up to 3 cm long, slightly expanded at base, straight, with 3 lobes, its lateral lobes lanceolate, small, straight, upper lobe up to 9 mm long, oblong, truncate and slightly bent at apex. Capsule up to 2.5 cm long, on short stalk, pendulous.

South Sakhalin, South Kurils. - In deciduous forests, among tall herbs. VII. - General distribution: Japan-China (South Korea, Japan). - Described from Japan.
