Japan Flora: Prostrate; stems very slender, much branched, hardly more than 1 mm. in diameter; leaves elliptic or obovate-elliptic, 5-10 mm. long, 3-6 mm. wide, obtuse, undulate-margined, glabrous on upper side, scattered puberulent beneath, the petioles less than 1 mm. long; flowers white, nodding, the pedicels glabrous, about 2 mm. long, bibracteolate; frnit obovoid, 5-7 mm. in diameter, white, deflexed. Coniferous woods;

Honshu (centr. and n. distr.); very rare.
