Japan Red List (2000): This is a perennial grass. It grows up to 10-20 cm in height, and its leaves are lanceolate to broadly ovate. It resembles a cobai plant, but its flowers are bell-shaped tubes with 14-15 mm perianth segments, which are not netted but have veins. There are no protrusions on the edges of the perianth segments.
Of the 26 areas, the current status of 8 areas is unknown. There are several individuals in 4 areas, tens of individuals in 11 areas, and several individuals in 3 areas, with an estimated total of about 1,000 individuals. The average reduction rate is about 30%, and the probability of extinction in 100 years is about 10%. The main reasons for the decrease are the collection for horticulture, vegetation transition, and deforestation.
