Japan Flora: Reddish herb about 2 cm. long, deltoid to orbicular-deltoid in outline; stems or main axis closely branched, with rather numerous slender roots; leaves closely imbricate, the lobes orbicular to orbicular-deltoid, about 2 mm. long, rounded at apex, broadly hyaline on margin. Ponds and paddy fields.

Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu; common.
