Japan Flora: Scapes about 20 cm. long, slender, angled, about twice as long as the leaves; leaves 2-4 cm. long, about 2 cm. wide, pedolate, ovate or ovate-elliptic, mucronate, abruptly decurrent on the petiole, with 3~4 pairs of nerves; flowers pale purple, 2.5-3 cm. long, the pedicels 6-8 mm. long, spreading, the bracts 3-4.5 mm. long. June-July. Honshu (centr. distr.). Sometimes cultivated in our gardens.
