Japan Flora: Tuber nearly globose; leaves radical, on slender petioles 10-20 cm. long, broadly cordate- sagittate, 3-lobed, 5-10 cm. long and as wide, the lobes acute, entire, the middle one broadly ovate, the lateral smaller, divaricate; scape radical, 4-8 cm. long; spathe 2.5-3 cm. long, the tube narrowly ovate, 15-18 mm. long, the blade elongate-rounded at base, gradually narrowed above to a subacute apex; neuter flowers linear, tlie upper ones ascending, the others reflexed, the appendage of spadix linear, erect, purplish, nearly uniformly wide from base to acute apex, somewhat obliquely truncate at base. May-Aug.
