Korea Flora: Plants polygamo-dioecious. Branchlets glabrescent; tendrils bifurcate. Leaves simple; stipules caducous; petiole 1.5-6 cm; leaf blade oval or oblong, 6-9 × 5-9 cm, abaxially whitish pubescent on lateral veins, basal veins 5, veinlets conspicuous abaxially, margin 16-32-toothed on each side, teeth sharp, apex acute, rarely rounded. Panicle loose, 5-11 cm, basal branches well developed. Pedicel 3-4 mm. Calyx glabrous, teeth inconspicuous; Ovary conical; Berry purple-black. Seeds obovoid.

Fl.owering late May-mid June,

Fruiting mid July-Sept.

Distribution: Gyeonggi-do, Chungcheongnam-do, Jeollabuk-do, Jeju-do, Jeollanam-do, Gyeongsangnam-do, Chungcheongbuk-do, Gangwon-do.  Southern China
