Russia Flora: Plant 12-15 cm tall. Stems straight from a short ascending base, simple or slightly branched. Phyllodia densely arranged along the entire stem, appressed, somewhat thick, linear-lanceolate, 4-7 mm long and 0.1-1 mm wide, somewhat widened at the base, pointed, glossy. Sporangia almost semicircular, with truncated base, about 1 mm long. Reproductive buds numerous, 2-2.5 mm long.
Chukotka, Anadyr-Penzhina, Koryak, Okhotsk, Kamchatka (Fig. 2). — Mountain tundra, in subalpine and alpine belts, on gravelly screes, prefers carbonate rocks. VIII-IX. — General distribution: European part (Khibiny, Ural), Western and Eastern Siberia; Scandinavia, Japan-China, North America.
