Russia Flora: Plant up to 11 cm tall. Stems ascending at the base, straight, in the upper part slightly branched, with more or less compactly arranged yellowish-green branches 4-5 mm wide. In the lower part of the stem, phyllodia lanceolate, 4-5 mm long, 1 mm wide, spreading; in the upper part — broadly lanceolate, 4 mm long, 1.2 mm wide, thickened, appressed to the stem. Branch tips rounded, blunt. Sporangia almost circular, 0.5 mm wide. Reproductive buds numerous, clearly visible, 2 mm long.
